• Turbo and particulate filter: On the 2.2 HDi and older diesels, the turbo and particulate filter (DPF) can become clogged if the vehicle is not driven long enough. Regular motorway use and correct maintenance prevent many problems.
• Timing belt: The replacement interval of the timing belt varies by engine. A belt that is almost due for replacement can lower the trade-in price. A recently replaced belt is a plus.

• Engine version and emission class: The 2.2 HDi is reliable, the later 2.0 BlueHDi meets Euro 6 and is more attractive for urban use. Always state the exact engine code and emission standard.
• Length and height variant (L/H): Jumpers come as L1H1 to L4H3. Higher and longer versions are sought after for specific uses, but can also be harder to sell to private buyers. A common L2H2 often finds a new owner quickly.
• Body type and specific use: A closed van is standard, but there are Jumpers with tipper bodies, refrigerated bodies, double cabs, or converted as campers. These special versions attract a different target group and can differ in price.
• Maintenance history and records: A fully completed service book and invoices for recent major maintenance (timing belt, brakes, tires) build confidence and noticeably increase value.
• Inspection and damage: A valid inspection until next year is a plus. Major damage (accidents, rust damage) can lower the price, but a buyer will take that into account and still make a market-based offer.
• Mileage and usage: A Jumper with 150,000 km and proven highway use can be in better condition than one with 100,000 km that has only made short trips with lots of stop-and-go. Overall maintenance condition weighs more than a number.
