Frequently asked questions
The Audi A1 has two generations: the first generation (8X) ran from 2010 to 2018, the second generation (GB) was launched in 2018. Both generations are still in high demand on the second-hand market, but the value depends strongly on the chosen engine and trim.
The 8X was available as a three-door and later as a five-door Sportback. Popular petrol engines are the 1.2 TFSI (86 hp) and 1.4 TFSI (122 hp). The 1.6 TDI (116 hp) attracted many business drivers due to its low CO₂ emissions. Models with the S line package, xenon lights and the MMI navigation system usually command a premium. Note: the 1.2 TFSI with manual gearbox and low mileage is sought after by city drivers. High mileage or missing maintenance lowers the price faster than on the diesel variants.
From 2018, the A1 became more angular and digital. The entry-level 25 TFSI (1.0 three-cylinder with 95 hp) is the best-selling version as a company car. The 30 TFSI (1.0 with 110 hp) and the 35 TFSI (1.5 with 150 hp) offer more punch. Automatic versions (S tronic) increase the value due to driving comfort. Trims such as Advanced, S line and Black edition are visually distinctive and have better residual value. Check whether the car is equipped with digital cockpit and Audi connect: these options make the car more attractive on the used car market.
Whether you sell your Audi A1 privately or as a business, good preparation makes a measurable difference. These steps help you get the most out of the sale.
Make sure you have the following papers ready:
A complete and stamped service booklet builds trust and can increase the price by several hundred euros.
A clean car looks better and suggests that you take care of it. Have the A1 washed, vacuum the interior, clean the windows from the inside. Polishing out small signs of use or touching up stone chips is not mandatory, but works positively. Remove personal items and accessories you want to keep. Do not repair heavy damage: we also buy cars with damage, and a provisional repair can raise suspicion.
Does your A1 have a tow bar, panoramic roof, leather seats or adaptive cruise control? Mention these options in the request, because they are not standard on a city car and increase the value. Also know which weak points inspectors will check, such as the timing chain on early 1.2 TFSI models or the turbo on the 1.4 TFSI. Honesty about any problems speeds up the sales process.
Your advantage
As a company car buyer, we understand that your Audi A1 was a work tool. That's why we buy every version, with or without damage, and offer a fair price based on current market data.
A dent, scratch or more than 200,000 km on the clock? No problem, we factor these into the offer correctly instead of refusing the car.
You receive a no-obligation valuation and can count on a fast, transparent process without negotiations.
Situations
Not every sales route suits every situation. These scenarios are perfect for a direct sale to a company car buyer:
After an accident or with cosmetic defects, a private sale is difficult. We buy your A1 as it is and factor in the damage realistically.
An A1 with more than 200,000 km is harder to sell to private buyers. For us, it's a common company car that still has value.
Do you have to return or buy out your car at the end of your lease? Avoid administrative hassle and sell it directly to us.
We buy company cars throughout Belgium and drive free of charge to every province. Whether you're in the centre of Antwerp or in rural Limburg, the process remains the same: free valuation, fast offer, free collection.
